Half-timbered house Water mill Special wedding venue

A special gem in the municipality of Raddestorf is the Harrienstedt watermill.

The "Woatermöhln" is known far beyond the borders. It was mentioned in writing as early as 1583, while the current building dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. After the end of commercial use in 1957, the municipality of Raddestorf acquired the buildings and the surrounding grounds with six hectares of alder forest and reservoirs in 1988. Restored with public support, it is maintained by the members of the "Woatermöhln" local history association and is open to the interested public on milling and baking days and as part of the Westphalian Mill Route. The local history association organizes regular show and baking days in the summer months. The outdoor area is always accessible.

Wedding couples can get married at the Harrienstedt watermill and enjoy the wonderful ambience of the surrounding grounds with the dammed ponds and the alder forest with their guests. After the ceremony, the watermill offers a unique backdrop for your wedding photos (information: Uchte registry office, tel. 05763-18348).
