Skulptur "Freund von Weser"

The sculpture is located at the Alter Markt.

The 4.5-ton granite "fish" was inaugurated in 2007. To mark the 15th anniversary of the town twinning between Achim and Cesis, Latvia, this "fish" was made by Latvian artist Matiass Jansons. It represents the good partnership between the two cities.
