Bruchhausen-Vilsen has had a rail connection since 1900.

What were the reasons for building the railroad and designing it as a narrow-gauge railroad? Why has the railway network survived to this day and how is this connected to the museum railroad? Tour guide Axel Burmeister will answer these questions on a guided tour of the station site and through the halls of the German Railway Association. Here, guests have an insight into the "heart" of the museum railroad in the form of the workshop and the majority of the fleet of around 90 narrow-gauge vehicles, some of which have been in continuous use in Bruchhausen-Vilsen for 123 years. Finally, in addition to excursion tips for the town and region, reference is made to the Museum Railway and Kaffkieker train days.
