Windmühle Westen

The Galerieholländer windmill is visible from afar at the end of the village from the west towards Hülsen, slightly elevated towards the Allermarsch. It stands on private property and is privately owned. It is not possible to visit and the private property may not be entered.
The stone hull was built in 1894, the wooden supporting structure of the tower comes from another mill and, according to the owner, is over 300 years old. The Westen mill was renovated between 1989 and 1992 under the supervision of the district of Verden and has been fully functional ever since.
