An adventure park to linger and relax with information on all aspects of water.
Drakenburg - the "Wassarium Drakenburg" was created as a project with supra-regional significance.
An area of approx. 7 hectares was used for this at the Drakenburg waterworks in the triangle between the B215 federal road, the K2 district road and the Bremen - Hanover railroad line. 1000 m long circular hiking trail with adjoining orchards and water areas as well as a water playground designed for children, visitors are presented with around 47 information boards on the topic of "water", in particular the sustainability of measures to protect groundwater. Water is made "tangible" for everyone as a common good and visitors' awareness of drinking water as our No. 1 foodstuff is promoted. The ecologically oriented concept with experience value combines the areas of leisure, tourism, local recreation and water management in an educational and playful way.
