Naturerlebnispfad Achimer Stadtwald

A nature trail with a length of 2.8 kilometers leads through the Achim city forest.

The trail was developed by the Nature Conservation Association with the participation of Achim schools and kindergartens. Twelve different stations provide information about the local wildlife and the history of the area and make it possible to actively experience nature. The mascot, Achim the great spotted woodpecker, guides children from station to station: from the "rook's nest made of wood" to the "long jump with animals" and "forest secrets" to the bat station, the "goblins of the night". A leaflet provides information about the route and the individual stations; it is available from the Achim Tourist Information Office.
