Museum of local history and geography Museum Special wedding venue

The Heimatstube Wietzen is a rural museum of local history.

On an exhibition area of approx. 700 m² in 3 buildings and an outdoor area with a farm garden, more than 6,000 exhibits from the areas of prehistoric finds, rural working and living culture as well as agricultural equipment and old crafts are presented.

The museum also includes a history workshop with an attached community archive.

For visitor groups (from 10 people), we offer a coffee table with butter or crumble cake from the stone oven and, on request, homemade cakes by prior arrangement.

Since May 2013, the registry office of the municipality of Marklohe has also been organizing wedding ceremonies in a specially prepared wedding room or in the outdoor area of the museum. The wedding room also offers space for around 30 additional guests. On request, we also offer a drinks service, coffee and cake or guided tours of the museum for you and your guests (information: Registry Office Weser-Aue, Tel. 05021-6025-0).
