Open-air theater in Low German.
Today's open-air stage in Daverden with more than 500 seats was built in 1954 on the steep banks of the Alte Aller. The rows of spectators are arranged in a semicircle and grouped into the natural slope of the wooded Geestrücken.
Two half-timbered houses embellish the overall appearance of the stage and offer the players a variable play. Today, folk plays, fairy tales and farces are performed in Low German.
