The sculpture trail brings art, culture and tourism into lasting harmony with nature.
Who hasn't seen them: museums in historic buildings, filled with valuable works of art. A sculpture trail, on the other hand, is art in public spaces, accessible to everyone at all times. It allows art, culture and tourism to be lived permanently in harmony with nature, whether in summer or winter, alone or in a group.
The signposted sculpture trail runs for around 16 kilometers as a circular route through the municipality of Warpe and can be explored on foot, by bike or by car. There is no start or finish point. The route is marked with route signs. Information boards provide interesting facts about the works of art.
Eight sculptures line the circular route. From granite and steel to a blaze of color and monochrome to a three-ton colossus, the works of art present themselves in a variety of ways. They want to be discovered and viewed, to catch the eye and stimulate the mind. The sculpture trail enriches the natural, expansive landscape and is one of the artistic rarities in rural regions. It encourages connoisseurs and amateurs alike to engage with the subject of art.
Along and off the trail, you will find a large number of different places to stop for refreshments and excursions. The map at the end of the free flyer has some exciting places to visit for you.
The project was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Weser-Hunte Regional Association and the Office for Regional Development in Sulingen.
You can also find the sculpture trail at Komoot.
